Client Success: A Sturdy Solution for Temporary Structures
The Company is a leading renter and manufacturer of temporary structures and party equipment. In order to fulfill a contract for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, the Company’s largest customer, it needed to expand its rental fleet, which it financed with additional debt. This resulted in an amount of leverage that was unsustainable – the Company was in a cash crunch and in violation of its bank covenants. On top of this, the Company’s inventory tracking system was unreliable.
This situation did not sit well with the bank because these rental items were the collateral in its loan to the Company. The Keystone Group was brought in by the bank to assess specific credit weaknesses, determine the breadth of the inventory tracking problem, and find ways to improve cash flow and profitability.
